Every bus route in the valley, in your pocket.
The Kathmandu valley's buses go almost everywhere, but nobody ever wrote the routes down. Arkobus maps the whole network and tells you which bus to take, where to get on and where to get off.
Free to use. Works in Nepali and English.

Routes nobody wrote down
Nobody publishes the valley's bus network. We built it up from field surveys, open data projects and rider corrections, and put it in one searchable map.
A fraction of the fare
A ride-share across town costs a few hundred rupees. The same trip by micro is usually under thirty, and you see the fare before you board.
Not everyone reads English
The bus is how most of the valley gets around, so needing English to catch one makes no sense. Everything is in Nepali too, not just the odd label.
What the app does
Just say where you want to go
Type a place or tap it on the map. You don't need to know which bus goes there.
Know the fare before you board
The exact amount for each bus you take, at your general, student or senior rate. Nothing to work out with the conductor.
Pick the trip that suits you
There's usually more than one way across town. Compare them on changes and walking, then see the whole trip laid out: where to get on, when to change buses and how far you walk at each end.
A nudge when your stop is close
So you can put your phone away instead of counting stops. Close the app mid-trip and your journey is still there when you come back.
Three taps to a bus
Sign in once with your phone number. Every trip after that is the same three steps.
Say where you're going
Your location is the starting point, so there's only one thing to fill in.
Pick an option
The fare, how long it takes and how many buses, side by side.
Get on and go
Follow the steps, pay each conductor, and get off when the app says.
